Peer Review is a voluntary dispute resolution mechanism to facilitate dentists in resolving disputes with patients, with insurance companies or with other dentists. It is comprised of a mediation process and if needed, an arbitration process. Peer Review is not a disciplinary process and therefore does not involve licensing issues. Member dentist have volunteered their time to serve on the Peer Review committee to support colleagues with any issues, hopefully, circumventing the legal system.
